Very Good™ Mondays is a live music series featuring a curated group of musicians selected by Alex Wasily (and Ari Teitel in New Orleans) with only one rule: no covers.

The evening showcases 100% improvised music created by a quartet of some of the best musicians on earth. With Wasily’s musical background, it’s fair to say that the vibe is pretty funky. Rooted in Wasily’s legendary Chicago Funk Party Series (est. 2012), Very Good™ Mondays combines cutting-edge modern funk and soul music with the relaxed atmosphere of your favorite house party.

Although Very Good™ Mondays began in Los Angeles in 2021, it has quickly gained worldwide recognition as the event to attend to hear the best of the best creating the baddest grooves. The series has also featured guest appearances by Stevie Wonder, Ivan Neville, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Marc Rebillet, Maurice Brown, JD Beck & Domi, and many more.

While its origins lie in the heart of Los Angeles, expect to see more Very Good™ events popping up in, New Orleans, Chicago, and New York. If it’s got “Very Good™” next to it, you can bet it’s going to be funky, off-the-cuff, improvised, and, most importantly, a hang.
